Smaug from The Hobbit Returns for McFarlane Toys Dragons Collection
Beware the dragons as McFarlane Toys expands their mythical collection with some infamous cinema dragons from Lord of the Rings
McFarlane Toys is continuing to bring some legendary dragons from cinema to life for their growing McFarlane's Dragons line. We have seen The House of Dragons get a few, as well as the Hungarian Horntail from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. For the next dragon, McFarlane Toys is returning to Middle Earth with their next release from the Lord of the Rings prequel series The Hobbit. Smaug is back and is a powerful and malevolent dragon who occupies the Lonely Mountain. He has a vast treasure trove that he conquered from the dwarves decades before was voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch in the live-action trilogy.
Smaug is packed with details for this McFarlane's Dragon release as he stands upon a dynamic base with all of his riches. The statue will measure 11" long and will be a delightful addition to any Lord of the Rings collection. Hopefully, more cinema dragons will make their way to this line in the future, as it would be nice to see more from How to Train Your Dragon, Dragonheart, and Harry Potter. Smaug is priced at $49.99, he is set for a December 2023 release, and pre-orders are live here.
