In the Transformers lore, Orion Pax and Megatronus began as allies with a shared vision for a better Cybertron. Orion Pax, who would eventually become Optimus Prime, was originally a data clerk who believed in peace and justice. Megatron, on the other hand, was a gladiator who rose from the oppression of Cybertron's lower classes, seeking to overthrow the corrupt regime of the High Council. They were bonded over their mutual desire for reform, but their friendship dissolved because of the methods and philosophies they chose.
Orion believed in change through peaceful means and diplomacy, while Megatron wanted a more aggressive approach, which would lead to the formation of the Decepticons. Hasbro is now bringing this Transformers Fractured Friendship to life with their latest San Diego Comic Con 2024 exclusive. Megatronus and Orion Pax stand at 7" tall and are fully detailed with the ability to be converted into their signature Cybertronian vehicle modes. Hasbro has this flashback Transformers Legacy exclusive priced at $74.99, which will be offered right at SDCC and on Hasbro Pulse after the convention.
