Oh, The Nostalgia! 3 Reasons You Should Read Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers #0
Do you really need three reasons? Well, you shouldn't…but here you have it. The BOOM! Studios relaunch of Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is here. After escaping Rita Repulsa's mind control, Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, joins up with the rest of the Power Rangers to combat her never-ending evil plans. Any semblance of a normal life is gone for Tommy now, but with his newfound family there lies hope for a brighter path.
One: Do it for the nostalgia. A lot of people my age grew up with the Power Rangers being part of their lives. I myself had a Pink Ranger action figure.
Two: Rita Repulsa, hello? Don't even try to tell me she wasn't part of your nightmares. She's one of the greatest villains out there. I'm happy to see her and her wacky outfit back in action.
Three: The modern twist. After reading this issue, I'm really excited to get to read a modern version of the story. So far, the creative team has done a really good job. I did laugh out loud at the mention of push notifications though.
