A Comic Show – Thanos, Rocket Raccoon, And Star-Lord!
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:
Hey Fandom! This week is rocking those Guardians of Galaxy guys, Marvel got all their ducks in a row. Thanos has an original graphic that's in current continuity, by Jim Starlin, and sets up his next big thing in the Marvel Universe. It's also pretty heavy with Adam Warlock, which is cool with the Infinity Watch era kid. Rocket Raccoon by Skottie Young hit some of same beats as the movie, as did Star-Lord. Superior Spider-Man sets up the Edge of the Spider-verse giving us more Ock Spidey. And Kick-Ass ended…well pretty damn kick ass. I don't spoil anything, but I felt I needed to say it wasn't a let down in any way.
Dynamite and Milligan's Terminal Hero #1 is full of hookers and blow, truly creators unleashed. Alan Moore writes and stars in the new God Is Dead as the High Priest of that snake god he worships. I loved it, but it sure pissed Jesus off.
DC's Grayson #2 was even better than the first. I'm won over to this new status quo for the time being and look forward to more guest stars and cameos.
