Seth MacFarlane has replaced Mila Kunis with Amanda Seyfried in the sequel to his hit comedy Ted, according to Deadline. All together now: Shut up, Meg!
Kunis may have a small role in the sequel, but her character Lori, Mark Wahlberg's hard-won love interest from the first film, will make a quick exit to make room for Seyfried's character. There are no plot details yet, so not sure how that's gonna work, since Ted, John and Lori seemed to have it all worked out at the end there.
Deadline says the decision is purely creative and Kunis will still be a regular on MacFarlane's Family Guy. I guess it's possible Lori is just out of town and Seyfried could play love interest to the foul-mouthed teddy bear, he did have his own girl in the first film too, after all.
But Seyfried certainly appears to have impressed MacFarlane on his next film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, coming out this summer.
