Talking Comics – Discussing This Week's Upcoming Titles From GotG/X-Men Black Vortex Alpha To Nameless, Cluster, And More!
By Randy Young and Chris Hunter
Bleeding Cool welcomes the return of Talking Comics, from Excalibur Comics, Cards, and Games in Shreveport, Louisiana, to discuss this week's upcoming books, speculating about where they are headed, and discuss their favorite storylines.
Hosts Randy Young and Chris Hunter say:
Thanks for pressing play!
Don't forget folks that February 21st is the Louisiana Comic-Con right here in Shreveport, Louisiana. You do not want to miss this fantastic event. Be sure and visit Louisiana Comic-Con on Facebook for all of the details.
Since DC Comics doesn't have any major storylines going on this week, we are going to highlight several of the DC variant covers that will have either Harley Quinn variant or a Flash 75th Anniversary variant cover to them. Be sure and get your favorite variants this week.
The Guardians of the Galaxy and the X-Men team up to face a major threat in the cosmos starting this week with the crossover of the Guardians of the Galaxy/X-Men Black Vortex Alpha #1. We get to find out who Mr. Knife is starting with this first issue, and this storyline will continue in both the X-Men title and the Guardians of the Galaxy title.
Spawn #250 is a turning point in the series, and is also one of the longest-running serialized comic books that's out there today. Be sure and check out the changes that are going to happen now that Al Simmons is back.
Nameless #1 from Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham is going to be a freaky take on horror, as we get to see what happens whenever a team of astronauts returns from space but they are not the same.
Another very interesting title that I'm looking forward to this week is Postal #1. The premise for the series really caught me by surprise, and I'm really looking forward to find out what caused the first murder that happened in this town in the past 25 years and what the FBI are going to do about it.
There are a ton of new series that start this week, so be sure and check out what we have to say about every one of them!
Also, don't forget the Question of the Week. We're talking about the Fantastic Four teaser trailer and we want to know your thoughts, and before you leave, make sure you tell us what comics you're most looking forward to pick up this week, whether online or at your local comic shop, because we want to talk to you about great comics that are hitting the shelf!
