Tom Hardy Joins Season 2 Of BBC's Peaky Blinders

Ok, ok, I get it. I should start watching Peaky Blinders. First it was just Brendon's urging that it's fantastic, and now the show itself ups the ante by casting Tom Hardy in season 2.

The 6-part first season followed Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the leader of the gang known as the Peaky Blinders, so named for the razor blades sewn into their hats, while Sam Neill played Chester Campbell, the police investigator law to the gang's lawlessness. They're all returning, and Hardy will play "a charismatic leader who presents a unique opportunity." Vague enough, but charismatic with leadership qualities just about suits Hardy to a tee.

According to Deadline, Steven Knight is writing and directing all 6 episodes of the second season, just like he did the first, and the new installments will see the Shelby gang expand their empire at the onset of the 1920s.
