Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is welcoming its latest Grand Prix Season with the Spooky Grand Prix. Previously, the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account teased three upcoming free DLC seasons, with Spooky Grand Prix listed first in the rotation. Now that October's finally here, it looks like we'll see the season dropping as early as this week. Activision and Beenox dropped the first details surrounding the upcoming season and all the surprises it's bringing.

As previously stated, Spooky Grand Prix will add a new track, characters, items to unlock, and a new challenge to take on. There's also a series of quality of life updates coming, since this is a comprehensive new expansion.

First and foremost, players can complete challenge, earn Nitro, and fill their Nitro Gauges throughout the season. One challenge new for Spooky Grand Prix is the eerie Ghost Hunt. Throughout the Grand Prix, breaking specific crates will release the ghosts trapped inside. For those who can catch up to the ghosts, capture them, and complete challenges, big rewards await.

Additionally, Nina Cortex, N. Brio, and Komodo Moe are racing to the game as part of this season. Nina will be available by way of the Nitro Gauge, and the others can be found in the Pit Stop.

The new Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled track is actually based around Nina Cortex. Delve deep inside her mind in Nina's Nightmare. Populated with "misty marshes, eerie gardens, and twisted hallways," you'll have to avoid green ooze-spitting pumpkins and voice a spider-pumpkin that would love to pulverize you.

There are three new karts, too: the Nautilus, Skull Rider, and the Phantom. You can earn the Nautilus and Phantom in the Nitro Gauge, and Skull Rider is available in the Pit Stop. Speaking of the Pit Stop, it will be getting a restock with new Halloween-themed items including wheels, paint jobs, stickers, and decals. Characters won't miss out on the fun either, as there are plenty of new skins to use.

If you're looking to jump into Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, this first new season looks like a great place to hop back in. You can expect these updates and more to drop this week across all platforms.
