Jackbox Games Launches A New Twitch Extension For Viewers

Jackbox Games has decided to help make the viewer experience on Twitch for their titles a little more fine with a new extension. It kinda goes without saying, but being an audience member on Twitch for many of the Jackbox Party Pack games isn't all that fun or rewarding. Yeah, you get to participate to a degree, but unless you're playing titles like Quiplash (where voting for your favorite choice can impact the game) or Trivia Murder Party 3 (where there's actually a chance for the audience to win the game if the people in the crowd are smart enough as a group), being in the crowd is about as helpful to the game's options and outcome as being in the crowd of a baseball game. You might help rally someone to get them into the game, but you have no effect on the outcome. So the company has decided to change that a bit.

Participation can only go so far, but maybe that's about to change. Courtesy of Jackbox Games.

The company has launched the Jackbox Audience Kit, specifically designed to improve the experience for both Jackbox streamers and those who are audience members playing along while watching. If a Twitch streamer is using the new extension, which is easy to activate on their account, the audience members will be able to join and play along within the Twitch app itself rather than going to Jackbox.tv in a separate browser or on their phone. The company will be showing off more of the extension in the next few days, starting on December 17th as they will have multiple channels participating with it before launching it in-full. You can read more details here and read more about the extension at this link. No word if they will develop the app for YouTube or Facebook Gaming.
