"Kingdom Hearts III" Re Mind DLC will Launch This Winter
The long-awaited story DLC for Kingdom Hearts III, titled "Re Mind," will be releasing sometime this winter. And because Tokyo Game Show is next week, Square Enix has decided to give fans an early look at the DLC, so they can get some idea of what to expect from Sora and pals in the next chapter of the game.
The TGS trailer features some new story scenes and Sora's new battle form, plus the usual shenanigans of Organization XIII. It looks like we'll be getting some fun bullet-time Matrix shenanigans with keyblade magic, the ability to switch characters, and some fun unique mechanics for many familiar faces. We'll be returning to a familiar in-between realm, obtain some new keyblades, and even take on several powerful new bosses.
Because this is the TGS trailer for the game, the audio is all in Japanese, but the trailer is subtitled in English if you enable closed captions on YouTube. As you can tell from the small snatches of conversation, we'll be headed back to the Keyblade Graveyard to fight with Organization XIII. Perhaps in a new version of that final showdown.
However, we'll have to wait until the DLC launches this winter to find out. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind doesn't have an official launch date yet, but I'd wager on January 2020, personally. The DLC will launch as a free title update to the game, which is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
