Ninjala Has Been Pushed & Delayed Due To COVID-19
GungHo Online Entertainment announced this week that the release of Ninjala has been delayed due to COVID-19. The game was originally scheduled to be released on May 27th, and they had been doing beta tests on the game the past few months to get all the kinks worked out prior to the release. But now those plans are out the window as the company made the announcement below officially pushing the game back. The game will not be released on June 24th, 2020.
"Ninjala is near completion, but we are significantly limited in how quickly we can work to test and finalize the game when we cannot be in the same room," said Kazuki Morishita, President & CEO of GOE. "Although we are working hard to launch Ninjala and release it to our fans, the health and safety of our employees is paramount. We apologize to our Ninjala fans who were eagerly anticipating its launch, and we ask for your understanding as we work to bring you the best game we can in this additional month."
There was also a rumor that they ould have been another beta test for the game before it was launched this month, but that is not true. It appears the company had everything they needed from the last phase of testing and were pushing through on publication until this delay. This is the latest in a string of games from multiple publishers that have been pushed back due to COVID-19. Hopefully, there are no more complications that will delay this game, as we've seen it around for about a year and it would be nice to finally see it fully released beyond betas and demos. We'll keep an eye on it and see how this develops going into June.
