Nintendo To Bring Back The NES Classic Edition Next Summer

Well, that's a spark of awesome news. To help celebrate the release of the Super NES Classic Edition, Nintendo has made two significant announcements regarding their retro systems. The first being that the SNES version will have a "higher volume of units" compared to the last, meaning that you might actually have the chance to buy one and not get scalped on eBay in the process. The second announcement came out early this morning as Nintendo confirmed it would be releasing more units of the first version, the NES Classic Edition.

Nintendo To Bring Back The NES Classic Edition Next Summer

The catch to this news is that the NES version won't be coming out until next summer, presumably because Nintendo is focused on getting more Switch units out, which uses many of the same parts as the SNES and NES consoles. No other information was released by the company about an official release date or other vital info, so at best guess, we have to assume it's the same unit as before with no added games or software. Which will probably suit people just fine seeing as how there were many auctions that sold the original system for well over $300 for what it had, so paying the $60 for a re-release will probably come off as a mental discount. What are your thoughts on the NES Classic Edition returning next year?
