"Pokémon GO" Is Teasing More Team Rocket GO Events

It looks like Niantic are going to be doing a lot more with Team Rocket GO in Pokémon GO than just making them raid your map and be an annoyance. Yesterday they had the team invade Manhattan in various forms and showed it off on Twitter as they made a bigger presence in a couple of posts than many of the creatures in the game ever have.

Here's a sample of the posts they made showing off people in Team Rocket GO costumes making some "suspicious" moves throughout NYC and basically appearing to cause mischief. The only thing missing from this picture is a Meowth helping them out.

All this is counting down to some kind of reveal happening today, as Niantic is teasing some kind of character reveal in Pokémon GO, which you can see here. There was a livestream countdown on YouTube, but they've since shut down the video link.

We'll let you know what we find when the reveal finally happens today, but it feels like this will be building toward the next Community Day happening on August 3rd. Could it be that Team Rocket GO will take over the game sometime next week in time for the event?
