Return of the Obra Dinn creator and developer Lucas Pope confirmed that the former PC-only game will finally be headed to consoles later this month.
The monochromatic mystery adventure will be headed to all platforms as of October 18. If you haven't had a chance to experience it yet, now's a great time to do so. Just be sure your deductive reasoning skills are up to snuff before diving in.

The game chronicles a fictional East India Company ghost ship, set in the early 1800s. You take on the role of an agent who must assess what happened to the ship's passengers and crew. You can do this by strategically piecing together a series of clues. Luckily, you also have the Memento Mortem stopwatch. It's able to take you back to exact moment a crew member died to ascertain their identity and cause of death. You can also figure out who their killer was from there.
Return of the Obra Dinn is a unique game, through and through, right down to its art style. Pop first confirmed the game was coming to Switch in addition to other platforms during an earlier Nintendo Direct feed in September. The ambitious game received several nods and awards, including a 2018 Game Award for Best Art Direction. It also took home a 2019 BAFTA for Artistic Achievement and Game Design as well as. Game Developers Choice Award for Best Narrative.
The game is played via first-person, and is best described as a lengthy logic puzzle. Fair warning: You'll be spending a lot of time scratching your head before the mystery is solved. By the time it's over, you'll also be left wondering when you'll be able to get your hands on Pope's next game.
