Steven Universe Is Getting Construction Sets That Almost Everyone Will Want
Steven Universe is one of the most popular shows to launch in the past few years. It has an epic story, features some of the most diverse storytelling on television, and features beautiful animation. The comics from Boom! Studios have been a massive hit, and there are now going to be some really awesome construction sets coming from McFarlane Toys.
New McFarlane Construction Sets based off Steven Universe, a hit TV series created by Emmy-nominated writer, storyboard artist, and New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Sugar.
Steven Universe is the coming-of-age story of a boy named Steven Universe and the "Crystal Gems", a team of magical alien guardians who protect the Earth. Every episode finds Steven, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl in one incredible adventure after the next, protecting the planet and always finding a way to save the day.
The first wave of Steven Universe Construction Sets from McFarlane Toys includes 6 different Construction Sets depicting iconic scenes and characters from the show. Figures included in each set feature articulation in the main joins and have swappable limbs for customization! McFarlane bricks and figures are compatible with other construction brands. Prices range from $8.99 – $34.99. Available at Walmart.
The sets will be sold in Walmart and will come in various sizes. The Mr. Universe Van clocks in at the biggest piece count at 317, and is also the most expensive at $29.99. The single packed figures and artifacts are all various sizes and will run $7.99.
Of those, the tough get will probably be Rose Quartz, but they all look pretty awesome. And the other big set runs $12.99 and is Steven's Kitchen with an Amethyst figure. As with other McFarlane construction sets, these are all compatible with each other, as well. Most of all, if you want to combine your Steven Universe with Rick and Morty, you can!
These should be hitting Walmart shelves any day now.
