This Is What Shiny Yveltal Will Look Like In Pokémon GO

It will likely be a very long time before we see Shiny Yveltal in Pokémon GO, but that doesn't mean we can't preview how it will look in the game now. When a new species is added to the game's code, so is its Shiny… which means we can see right now what Shiny Yveltal will look like, and wow does this flying strip of pork belly look amazing.

Now, checking for datamines isn't the only way to see unreleased Shinies in Pokémon GO. Right now, there is a current trick that may be a glitch where Shiny Ditto can actually replicate the Shiny form of an unreleased Pokémon. Here's how to do it.

You enter a Pokémon GO raid with Shiny Ditto. You switch to another Pokémon and then right back to Shiny Ditto. Your Shiny Ditto will now appear as the Shiny version of the raid boss, regardless of whether or not that raid boss is released as a Shiny in the game. The same is true for gym battles. This can be very fun when you are raiding against a species like Yveltal, which we probably won't see released in its Shiny form until next year at the earliest. We're still waiting on Shiny Palkia and Dialga, after all. I'm about to put those two Shinies on a damn milk carton.

There's also another way to preview unreleased Shinies, but it only works if the Pokémon has a form from another region. For example, Shiny Meowth as originally discovered in the Kanto region is available, while Shiny Galarian Meowth is not. However, if you have a Shiny Meowth or Shiny Alolan Meowth, that will unlock the capability to view any Shiny Meowth, Galarian included, in the Dex. The same goes for Shiny Galarian Weezing. If you have a Shiny Kanto Weezing, you'll be able to see Shiny Galarian Weezing in your Dex.
