Tonight Is Groudon Raid Hour #1 In Pokémon GO: June 2022
Tonight is the second Raid Hour of June 2022 in Pokémon GO and it features a major Legendary. If you played Pokémon GO Fest 2022 this past weekend, you may know as this Legendary briefly popped its head in on Saturday for a short raid rotation, but now Groudon is here for a little over a week. Groudon Raid Hour is going down tonight, Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 from 6 PM through 7 PM. During this time, most Gyms in the game will host Tier Five raids, all of which will feature the Ground-type Legend, Groudon. Let's take a look at some gameplay tips.
- Mega Evolution: Help boost your fellow Trainers' attacks by Mega Evolving a Pokémon. Evolve Mega Blastoise for Raid Hour and use its Water-type attacks against Groudon. Mega Venusaur and Mega Gyarados are both also good bets. There is no better time to Mega Evolve than during Raid Hour, and be sure to take advantage of your Mega Evolved Pokémon to coordinate with other raiders outside of your timezone so you can accept raid invites all day.
- Use Twitter to get international invites: Post your Pokémon GO friend code and mention which region you're in. Adding two hashtags will be a major, major help. Those hashtags are #PokemonGO and #PokemonGORaids. Just be a kind trainer and note who sends you raids so that you can return the favor to those players during your Raid Hour.
- Form teams in advance: It's not very fun during Raid Hour when you think you have enough Trainers and then go into a raid only to see your fellow Pokémon GO players using the worst possible counters. Don't use those Metagross against a Ground-type, folks! Instead of taking Niantic's suggested counters, prioritize your attack with truly meta choices, building and saving a team in advance.
Happy raiding tonight, fellow Trainers!
