Getting The Mesure Of The Beast – Behind The Scenes Of The Magicians
Nope, that's not a typo in the title…
We're two episodes into the new season of The Magicians and things are going as crazy as you'd expect. The video below focuses on the second episode and giving us some background on characters like Martin Chatwin / The Beast. He was a shadow figure of doom through almost all of the first season and suspected of being someone else even… but when he is revealed and the twisted nature of his back story… enter Charles Mesure. The Beast is a full grown adult with incredible powers and who is basically killing magic. He was molested as a child and to stop the pain, he removed his "shade"… the part of us that feels. Now he's a dispassionate killer who loves to sing. It's a fascinating character and part of what they talk about in the video below.
The Magicians airs Wednesdays at 9 PM on Syfy.
