Is There More Than One Last Jedi?

This is kind of a fascinating story that Star War fans will like. The recently released title for the next film is Star Wars: The Last Jedi and a lot of people figured that mean Luke Skywalker or that Luke may die. Basically everyone assumed that it was about a single Jedi in some context.

But maybe it's not. Jedi is a word that is the same whether plural or singular. 'Luke trained with Yoda to become a Jedi.' Is correct, but so is. 'Mace Windu and the Jedi fought against the Emperor.'

And then you throw in this tidbit… English used the word 'the' regardless of gender or how many. You can have 'the baseball player' or 'the Dodgers' and 'the' doesn't change. Not so in other languages like German.

In German and other languages, the title uses the plural for of the word 'the'… meaning that there are likely to be more than one Last Jedi. What that means is now the Internet can start speculating anew.
