Street Fighter's Ryu Announced For Super Smash Brothers

Ryu has been a long rumoured possibility for Smash Brothers ever since files were found within the game pertaining to him. It seems like a good fit too. Nintendo have shown previously that they like to add characters from third parties into the game, famously having featured Metal Gear Solid's Snake in the past.

Well, the fighter's inclusion into Super Smash Brothers has now been confirmed. During the smash specific Nintendo Direct this morning, the character was announced with a new trailer.

Alongside that, it was found that Fire Emblem's Roy would also be joining the fight who is out today.

Both of these characters are available today!

This will no doubt please a lot of fans, and there is certainly a novelty in having the iconic Street Fighter character join Smash Brothers. I dig it.
