Over the weekend, Bleeding Cool ran a collection of all of the Retailer Exclusive Variant covers we could, only for the writer of the Fantastic Four, Dan Slott himself, to drop into our comments to say:
While, like with most books that have a #1, there will be many variant covers, Bleeding Cool has mistakenly included a[...]

Look what popped through the letterbox courtesy of Federal Express about an hour ago…
Fantastic Four #1 by Dan Slott, Sara Pichelli, and Marte Gracia — with a letter asking me to talk about it Okay First, there are spoilers here Some spoilers, limited spoilers, what I see as managed expectations.
Just as people going into Batman #50 and X-Men[...]
Iron Man's technology has been stolen by Baintronics. Thankfully War Machine is there to help, but is he in a condition to fight? Is it a good read?
Well, at the Diamond Retailer Appreciation Lunch at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced that they had hit over 400,000 orders for Fantastic Four #1 by Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli.
Which should keep Ike Perlmutter happy Or grumbling slightly less…

FANTASTIC FOUR #1

FOUREVER Part One
BECAUSE[...]
Notorious spoiler-hater Dan Slott took to Facebook in the wake of DC spoiling its own Batwedding in the New York Times to talk about "spoiler culture." DC's self-spoiling follows a long tradition of comic book publishers spoiling their own stories pretty much whenever a mainstream media outlet is willing to pay attention to them over[...]
Marvel revealed a bunch of details about the upcoming Spider-Geddon event in a press release today, and we'll just let the press release break the news:
Spinning out of the pages of Spider-Man #800, Dan Slott's epic conclusion to his ten year run delivers you straight into SPIDER-GEDDON #1, where Slott teams with writer Christos Gage[...]
Amazing Spider-Man #801
Dan Slott finished his stint on Amazing Spider-Man in style this week with a surprisingly grounded and intimate tale of a man who was saved by Spider-Man It was heartwarming and reminded me why this character is so beloved Mix that with Marcos Martin and Muntsa Vicente art, and you have a damn good comic and this week's ultimate winner.
Justice[...]
The man makes it to the hospital, and we learn how this one night impacts his life and his perception of the world.
Amazing Spider-Man #801 cover by Marcos Martin and Muntsa Vicente
I've given Dan Slott's Amazing Spider-Man absolute hell in my time on Bleeding Cool I stand by my criticisms, as the series is heavily[...]
Iron Man will have to discern the difference if he is to win the day and save his city.
Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 cover by Alexander Lozano
Dan Slott's Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 has taken more than a few cues from Brian Michael Bendis' run as well as Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of the character[...]
After a long week of high-price comics and specials, it's time for Bleeding Cool to sort out the Top and Bottom 5 Comics of the week. Click here to find out the score.
That said, can I really recommend a 6.5/7-out-of-10 comic at $9.99? I'm not sure that sits right with me.
If you love Spider-Man, particularly Dan Slott's Amazing Spider-Man, definitely grab this book You'll get what you paid for That's the only scenario in which I feel confident recommending this book.
If you've not been paying attention to this[...]
A character I've been missing comes back, and he will hopefully be a regular in Dan Slott's upcoming Iron Man series Not everyone will be satisfied with it, but death is mostly a stopgap in Marvel and DC I've come to terms with that.
Doom and Riri's endings are both solid Doom brings an implied return[...]
Spider-Man is out of commission, but his friends are available to pick up the fight against the Red Goblin. Does it make for a good read?
The infamous Black Suit returns starting in Amazing Spider-Man #800. The once alien symbiote was one of the most dramatic costume changes of all time and spawned one of the greatest villains/anti-heroes of Marvel Comics: Venom.
That seems like it would ruin his life far worse than just threatening him with it.
That aside, most of the battle is fun, and Dan Slott gives the Green Goblin some funny dialogue throughout most of the book.

The creative team will be Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli.

Norman Osborn has captured a hostage he believes can reveal some secrets about Spider-Man. Elsewhere, Peter Parker's attempted reunion with Mary Jane faces some complications. Is Amazing Spider-Man #797 a good read?
I swear, this will stop getting later and later. Solicits and other distractions late last week prevented me from getting to this sooner. Plus, I had to
However, this feels like a complete episode as opposed to a snapshot of some wider nonsense.
Unfortunately, I hate Spider-Man as written by Dan Slott, and the endless in-jokes, pop culture references, and downright awful dialogue prevents this comic from approaching passable.
Do you remember Hugo, the random security guard from Venom Inc? He comes back for[...]
Spider-Man is trying to get his bearings on his new life when Loki, the new Sorcerer Supreme summons him to settle an old debt. Does it make for a good read?
In Venom Inc. Omega, it's the final battle: Spider-Man, Venom, Anti-Venom, Black Cat, and Mania versus a giant Maniac, aka Lee Price. He has resorbed the symbiotes he attached to his followers, and it's up to these five heroes to stop him. Is it a good read?
Bleeding Cool has been telling you since Secret Empire ended that Nick Spencer would take over Amazing Spider-Man from Dan Slott, and Marvel finally confirmed that Slott was leaving the book last month Hopefully we'll get that Spencer confirmation sometime soon so we can say, "pip pip!"
Now, in an interview with bird-themed pop culture site[...]
In Venom #160, Venom, Anti-Venom, Black Cat, Mania, and Spider-Man are preparing for their assault against Maniac and his legions at the meeting of the Five Families. Does this make for a good read?
Elsewhere, Black Cat has surfaced alongside Eddie Brock, who has been bonded to Venom once more.
Amazing Spider-Man #793 cover by Alex Ross
Amazing Spider-Man #793 is definitely the most coherent of Dan Slott's offerings to Venom Inc It has a straightforward narrative The main thrust of it, which is the fairly predictable situation of Spider-Man being[...]
Spider-Man and the all-new Anti-Venom are facing down the symbiote-possessed hords of Lee Price. Elsewhere, Eddie Brock searches for his Venom symbiote. Is it a good read?
With the release of the March 2018 solicits for Marvel, there's an interesting turn of phrase in the solicits for one title in particular that seems to confirm that a rumour that Bleeding Cool has long been reporting.
The solicits for March's issue of Amazing Spider-Man seem to be suggesting that this is the beginning of[...]
"You'd almost think that was the biggest Green Goblin story Dan Slott had in him You'd be wrong And make sure you watch to the end of the trailer!"
We're glad that Dan Slott is finally passing these enormous Green Goblin stories Holding them inside for so long must have been extremely painful.
Check out the trailer[...]
Venoms unite in this adventure, which brings together Spider-Man, Eddie Brock, and Flash Thompson. Is this a reunion worth remembering?
Why wait to read about it the day before it's released on USA Today when you can watch it on video now? In a move that's sure to infuriate their now
