But other than Tobias Whale and Painkiller, none of them were really on the power level as the Pierce family This led them to having to fight quantity over quality It would be nice to see Black Lightning take on someone that could push him to use his full powers — to really open up[...]

But that said, how many of you guessed that Latavius "Lala" Johnson (William Catlett) was going to pop up again after he was killed by Tobias Whale (Marvin "Krondon" Jones III) in that prison cell? The character came off as instantly charismatic and dangerous at the same time when he threatened that kid in front[...]

So let's take a look at them — including the big bad himself, Tobias Whale. The series first gave us Latavius 'Lala' Johnson (William Cutlett), the local dealer that grew up knowing Jefferson (Cress Williams) and has a deal to stay away from the school, but when his cousin goes after Jennifer (China Ann McClain), that[...]

He joined Jennifer and the others in a protest march and was shot in the spine when the march was attacked by Tobias Whale (Marvin "Krondon" Jones III) and his people Khalil was paralyzed and pushed everyone away… except Whale decided to use him against Black Lightning He then went away for a few episodes[...]

We see Tobias Whale (Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III) getting dressed and see the scars from where Black Lightning (Cress Williams) tried to fry him Whale meets with Martin Proctor (Gregg Henry), head of the ASA, and we find out how all of this ties together. It seems the ASA did their original experiments on Freeland, but[...]

Then we learn that Lala has a boss, Tobias Whale (Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III), who came across a bit Bond-villain-like in his first appearance, but gained a lot of depth later on Lala got himself caught and Tobias had to take care of him… personally Then this past episode we got to meet Lady Eve[...]

It's hard to tell in the clip what her relationship is with Tobias Whale (Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III), but she obviously doesn't want the people, Black Lightning or the church taking back the streets.
