NXT Halloween Havoc Scares Up More Viewers Than Regular AEW Dynamite
In what is, without a doubt, the happiest day of The Chadster's entire life, WWE NXT drew more viewers last night for a special Halloween Havoc episode than AEW Dynamite drew for a regular episode of Dynamite. It was a huge night for NXT as they returned not only to the top 50 cable shows, which they'd fallen out of in recent weeks but to the top 25, coming in at number 21 on Showbuzz Daily's charts. Unfortunately, AEW Dynamite still beat NXT in the 18-49 demographic and ranked #11 on the chart. But hey, if you're an unbiased professional journalist like The Chadster is, a win is a win, and NXT definitely won this week.
WWE NXT to AEW Dynamite: Tell Me How My Ass Tastes
Like the great poet and philosopher Shaquille O'Neal once said, "Hey Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes! Hey Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes!" That must be what NXT is thinking today after totally trouncing Dynamite in overall viewership. 876,000 people watched NXT's Halloween Havoc episode last night, compared to just 781,000 people watching Dynamite. In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite scored a .32 while NXT scored a .25, the closest those numbers have been in a long time.
The Bottom Line 'Cause Chad Said So
Many of my regular readers know that The Chadster's sex life has been in a little bit of turmoil ever since AEW Dynamite launched a year ago. It's not that I don't love my beautiful wife, Keighleyanne. But when WWE is losing in the ratings, The Chadster just has a little bit of trouble… performing. So after I heard that NXT had more viewers than Dynamite this week, I went into the living room, told Keighleyanne to stop texting with Gary, and I said, "baby, get ready to have your world rocked because WWE is on top… and so will you be!" Unfortunately, she said she has a headache. I'm just hoping that clears up by the weekend because who knows how Smackdown is gonna do in the ratings on Friday.
