Women's Championship 3-Way – NXT Takeover: In Your House Results

Is it time for the main event already? Jude Terror here, back to close out the night. Thanks to my colleagues for the excellent live coverage of NXT Takeover: In Your House. Jeremy, you've done a great job as usual. Chad… well, you tried. Last up is Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Io Shirai for the NXT Women's Championship.

Before the match, Renee Young talked to us from her Watchalong party to plug a Facebook Live interview with Triple H after the show. Let me guess; he's so proud of everyone in NXT, they're the future of wrestling, blah blah blah. The old Game would have buried all these vanilla… uh, little people! You're not getting me in trouble, Kevin Nash!

NXT Takeover: In Your House Card, Predictions, and Live Coverage

NXT Takeover: In Your House – Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Io Shirai

Rhea Ripley came out first, looking confident as if she's not going to lose to The Queen for a second time. Next up was Shirai. Be right back. Sorry, was busy having a seizure from Shirai's entrance. Flair came out next as the WWE trainees in the audience wooed dutifully. Flair was looking very "Black Swan" in her black feathered robe. Time for the NXT Takeover: In Your House main event!

The three women circled each other for a moment, but then Flair rolled out and told Shirai and Ripley to fight each other. They obliged, but as soon as Ripley shoved Shirai to the ground, Flair attacked her from behind. Shirai tried a quick rollup for two. Flair attacked Ripley in the corner, but Shirai took out Flair. The three women traded round-robin offense for a bit, which ended with Flair the only woman standing.

Flair hit alternating chops on both women as the crowd wooed along. Imagine having to stand up for twelve hours straight and still having to woo on command. Shirai and Ripley double-teamed Charlotte. Flair ended up outside the ring but dodged a dive from Ripley. Flair gave Ripley a high toss into the ring barricade. Shirai hit a sloppy hurricanrana on Flair from the apron, but Flair got right back up and tossed her into the barrier with Ripley.

Flair brought Shirai into the ring for some slow-paced offense. Shirai tried a comeback, but Flair put her in the Boston Crab. Flair is so tall and wasn't squatting, so Shirai's body was barely touching the floor. Flair put a knee in the back, stealing from Chris Jericho a bit.

Ripley hit the ring and unloaded on Flair with some kicks and a basement dropkick. Now it was Shirai's turn, taking out Ripley and hitting some flippy stuff on Flair. Shirai got a two-count after a dropkick to the head. But Shirai took too long to continue her dominance, giving Ripley time to come in. They hit a pair of simultaneous punches so everyone could lay around and catch their breath.

Flair was up first, and she hit a spear on both women, but only got a two count on each. Flair dragged both women near the corner and tried a moonsault but missed both. Shirai rolled up Flair for two, and Ripley rolled up Shrai for one. Shirai put Flair in the crossface, but Ripley broke it up. Flair hit a big boot on Ripley for two as Shirai rolled out of the ring.

Ripley dodged Natural Selection and took Flair down, but Shirai reentered the ring with a dropkick on Ripley. The "crowd" was loud as hell at this point, stomping on the floor. Why aren't they like this for Raw and Smackdown? Nevermind, we know why. Flair hit Natural Selection on Shirai for two. Flair put Shirai in the Figure Eightt, but Ripley pulled Flair out of the ring, and they brawled at ringside.

Ripley got the best of Flair, but Shirai hit Ripley with a dive from the ring. Flair clubbed Shirai in the back of the head, then dragged her to the In Your House set at the entranceway and tossed her through the In Your House window, though it had no glass. Somewhere in heaven, Bobby Heenan shouted, "Shirai, just dove through the In UYour House window to escape Charlotte Flair!"

Shirai hit Flair with a potted plant, then mounted her for some punches. Flair fought back, and they brawled over to the audience, now featuring a new plexiglass barrier for Flair to ram Ripley's head into. As Flair and Ripley brawled back to the middle of the set, Shirai climbed on top of the house and leaped off for a crossbody on both women. Selling time.

Shirai dragged Flair into the ring and went to the top, but Ripley hit her from behind. Ripley dodged a spear by Flair, sending her to the outside. Ripley climbed to the top and went for a superplex, but Shirai blocked. They traded some punches, and Shirai flipped down through Ripley's legs. Now Shirai climbed to the top for a Frankensteiner, but Flair hit the ring and kicked her out.

Flair hit chops on Ripley, still perched on the ropes, and climbed up. Ripley hit a Riptide on Flair from the top but only got a two-count. Now Shirai came in and put the Prism Trap on Ripley. Flair came in with the kendo stick and started beating both women. Flair hit a spear on Ripley and slapped on the Figure Four. She bridged into the Figure Eight. Shirai hit a moonsault on Ripley while she was in the Figure Eight, which looked like her knee landed on Ripley's face. Shirai got the pin while Flair still had her in the Figure Eight.

The broadcast went to replays, and when it came back, the streamers and confetti were going crazy as Io Shirai celebrated her newly won NXT Women's Championship. This was probably the most predictable ending of the night, but it's nice to see Charlotte Flair lose once in a while.

Overall, NXT Takeover: In Your House was a pretty good show. To be honest, NXT usually kinda bores me, but I'm a sucker for some good nostalgia. Thanks for joining Bleeding Cool for our live coverage, and if you missed anything, you can catch up here.

Dedicated to Chris Hyatte, the GOAT.
