Help Former DC Comics Editor Bob Kahan Stay In His Apartment

Ever the watchful eye, this one was brought to my attention by Nick Barrucci.

Bob Kahan was an editor at DC Comics for many years and worked on putting out some of their best trade paperbacks… some of which you probably have on your shelf right now. A quick trip to ComicbookDB shows just how many books Kahan had a part of including Batman: Knightfall, Aquaman: Time And Tide, Crisis On Infinite Earths, Superman: What Ever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow and many more.

Like far too many folks out there, Kahan has found himself unemployed for the last year and is about to be evicted from his apartment. He has turned to the internet for help:

Hi folks. I've been unemployed for over a year and fell behind on my rent. My landlord has served me with an eviction notice. I've lived here for almost 20 years. I have faith that I will find work soon. I've been successful as a comic book editor, event planner, facility manager and synagogue executive director. I feel that I'm just dealing with a bad economy and bad luck and just need a little more time. I'm homestly scared of losing my home and giving up my dear cats, Buffy and Angel.

The comic book industry's fans and creators have always been amazing supportive and generous when it comes to helping one of their own. Bob Kahan may not have the marquee name of a writer or artist… but he has worked hard for many years putting out comics that we all love… here's hoping he gets to his goal and gets a job soon.
