Riot Games Partners with the Special Olympics for a Stream-a-thon
Leauge of Legends developer Riot Games has partnered with the Special Olympics to host a special live Stream-a-thon on Twitch.
The stream is live now and is part of Special Olympics' "The Revolution is Inclusion" campaign.The goal of the campaign is to end discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities, and the stream urges viewers to sign the Inclusion Pledge to make their commitment.
The partnership between Riot and Special Olympics will see Riot leverage their passionate player base of over 100 million League players as well as the LoL community of creators and streams to help spread the world about the Inclusion campaign.
The Stream-a-thon is hosted by Max Carver who you might know from his roles on The Leftovers, Teen Wolf, or Desperate Housewives. Over the course of the stream, Carver joins several Special Olympics athelets around LA to discuss their daily lives and Special Olympics work. Special guests on the stream include Jason and Ashley Wahler from MTV's The Hills: New Beginnings, Chef Kevin Lee, Special Olympics athlete Hanna Atkinson, Olympic gold medalist and Special Olympics Global Ambassador Apolo Ohno, and even WWE stars Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose.
