SDCC 2019: 40+ Pics Form the Icon Heroes and 3A Displays
Icon Heroes has become one of the major players in the statue market right now, and they have been doing absolutely stunning work. Not only have they been doing franchises that don't usually have regular releases, but they do both highest of high end products and smaller, more wallet friendly lines without dipping quality. Icon Heroes is part of the Sideshow Collectibles pavilion on the show floor, and they take up a pretty decent amount of real estate in there. Let's look at whats on display.
The most impressive corner of the booth is by far the Avengers: Endgame line of 1:10 scale. Seriously, the sheer amount of statues and characters you can now add to your collection or soon can is ridiculous. I was looking at the giant display and thought to myself "Dang Iron Studios, who is left?". Some of my favorites are the Black Panther holding the gauntlet and perched, the Thanos swinging his dual-blade, and of course, the "I am Iron Man" Tony.
A pleasent surprise was their line of statues based on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. They looked like they were still photos removed from the film itself and plopped into the cases. With other statues from DC Comics, including an impressive 1989 Batman and Batmobile, Lord of the Rings, and more, they will for sure be taking even more of the market for the foreseeable future.
Next to Iron Studios was 3A and their 1/6th scale line of Game of Thrones figures. This line is expanding fast as well, and one of the most impressive single pieces I have seen on the show floor this week so far is that Drogon statue. Check out the figures on display below!
