Shaft, Ms. Marvel And The Shadow Hero Among Finalists For Dwayne McDuffie Award
The nominees for the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity have been chosen. The award, named after writer Dwayne McDuffie the co-founder of Milestone Media, writer for both Marvel and DC as well as writer and producer of many animated series.
The five nominated titles and creators are: Hex11 by Lisa K. Weber and Kelly Sue Milano, M.F.K. by Nilah Magruder, Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona, The Shadow Hero by Gene Luen Yang and Sonny Liew and Shaft by writer David F. Walker and artist Bilquis Evely.
This year's winner is to be announced at a ceremony at the Long Beach Comics Expo on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
