Here's what's happening for the Adventure Week 2024 event in Pokémon GO:

Date and time: Friday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time
New Pokémon: There are no new species coming in this event.
Shiny release: There is no Shiny release for this event. An Adventure Week first?
Wild Spawns: Diglett (can be Shiny), Omanyte (can be Shiny), Kabuto (can be Shiny), Dunsparce (can be Shiny), Roggenrola (can be Shiny), Drillbur (can be Shiny), and Bunnelby (can be Shiny). Rare spawns include Aerodactyl (can be Shiny).
Event bonuses:
- 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
- 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
- 2× XP for hatching Pokémon
- This is a big one: Increased chance to encounter the following Shiny Pokémon: Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura.
- Collection Challenges will award Stardust, Pokémon encounters, and Aerodactyl Mega Energy
- PokéStop Showcases featuring event-themed species.
Eggs: Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Tyrunt, and Amaura. All can be Shiny.
Field Research: Encounters include Dunsparce, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, Shieldon, Roggenrola, Drillbur, Tirtouga, Archen, Bunnelby, Tyrunt, and Amaura. All can be Shiny. Some tasks will award Aerodactyl Mega Energy.
