In case you'd like a little retro gaming in your life this Christmas, Atari has revealed their latest release with the Atari Retro Handheld. The console is basically meant to be a "what if Atari made the Game Boy" kind of look as it has all the marking of their consoles from the past, even with all the raised lettering and wood panel finish. The console itself has over 50 games from the late '70s to early '80s, most of them being classics you would remember. It's basically an Atari 2600 fused into a 2.4" color screen.
The company also unveiled their Retro TV joysticks, one for PC and one for TV, both with an ADMI hookup. These are the same thing to a degree, an entire Atari library built into a classic joystick that you can hook up like an emulator. The Handheld is going for $45 and the joysticks for $30-35. No official hard date has been put on their release, but considering the timing and the purpose and how they'll probably directly compete with any other retro consoles currently planned for the holidays, we're guessing you'll see them right around Black Friday this year.
