Battlefield V Teases Single-Player Campaign at E3

So far, EA and DICE have been pretty content to show off the multiplayer modes, gameplay, and setting of Battlefield V while telling us a bit about its live service updates, Battle Royale mode, lack of loot boxes, and extreme lack of a premium service. At the Xbox conference, and for a bit after at EA Play yesterday, the publisher and developer were rather happy to quickly tease the game's single-player experience, called War Stories. Not to be confused with the single player War Stories from the World of Tanks franchise.

In Battlefield V, you'll lead your custom assembled Company of soldiers, weapons, and vehicles on "an epic journey through the Tides of War." The teaser today gave us a never-before-seen portrayal of World War II, which is saying a lot considering we love to set movies, TV shows, and games in WWII. The War Crimes Investigation Branch found that there were four huts sized 300 sq. ft. at the camp of Mallnitz. The huts were a meter high, had three-tiered bunks, were made of turf and branches, and couldn't keep out the persistent rain and snow. A Norwegian newspaper reported that 272 prisoners were sent to Mallnitz from the Lyngen Line work camps, only 67 survived.

Its pretty good to see Battlefield V go to places we don't often see in WWII games. We've all played D Day more times than we can conceivably count. Seeing things from a different perspective will definitely help the game stand out against the masses of WWII-themed entertainment options,
