It appears Hideo Kojima will be taking video game cutscenes to the next level, so to speak, with a new mode in Death Stranding. It's already a joke to some gamers that there are titles that are far more cutscenes then there is gameplay. Go look up "Mortal Kombat 11 movie" on YouTube and you'll see people who cut together the over three-hour film that is the cutscenes between fights. But it looks like Kojima will be cutting out the middle man and making it so all those people have to do is hit the record button.
In a tweet that went out last week, Kojima revealed that there will be a new mode called "Very Easy Mode" added to the game. Apparently, this mode will be so easy to play, even those who have little video game experience can tackle it.
Normally there's only Easy Mode, but we added Very Easy Mode for movie fans since we have real actors like Norman, Mads, Lea starred in. Even Yano-san who never completed the 1st stage of PAC-MAN, was able to complete the game on Very Easy Mode 👍🌈🦀😅 https://t.co/fMZmuZltZw

So there you have it, there's now a mode in a major AAA game where you're basically treating your PS4 controller as a Netflix remote. Whether or not that will get non-gamers to actually buy Death Stranding is another idea altogether. We look forward to seeing all the easy-to-make home recordings of people just walking and pressing the X-Button when the game comes out November 8th.
