Ready to rip and tear? You'll soon get your chance, with the latest DOOM Eternal trailer. It's the first new glimpse we've had at footage from the upcoming shooter, and we must say it's looking even more scrumptious than ever.

The trailer opens with a brief few scenes of some massive monsters the Doom Slayer will probably have to face off against. Luckily, he's got his trusty arsenal of weapons at his side (including the BFG.) DOOM Eternal is set to take place following the events that transpired in 2016's DOOM, only this time the Doom Slayer has returned to Earth to take a swing at saving humanity from hell, which has overrun the planet. You know, super normal stuff.

We get to see a brief glimpse of the character suiting up (a look behind the mask, even) before he goes on a rampage, gun in hand. A sneak peek at an alien civilization, and then it's time to lock and load. This is the same DOOM that you know and love, with plenty of the knock-down, drag-out battles you love across snowy tundras, bombed-out subterranean areas, and blood-soaked catacombs.

The end of the trailer finds the Doom Slayer chainsawing heads off, ripping off limbs, and doing what he does best: crushing it. And ripping that. Then grinding that over there to tiny, pulverized bits. It's messy. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

DOOM Eternal is set to "raze hell" on March 20, 2020 – that is, if it doesn't get delayed again, somehow.
