RoboCop Brings Order To Your Collecting Shelves Next Fall
RoboCop is getting the high-end treatment from Medicom. Coming next year to help celebrate the 30th anniversary, the MAFEX RoboCop will hit shelves next fall. With a price tag around $95, it will not be a cheap way to celebrate. But once you get a look at this one, you will want it.
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the theatrical release of "Robocop" with Medicom's MAFEX figure of this iconic sci-fi hero! He's about 16cm tall, and fully posable for maximum action; he comes with three interchangeable lower faces, a damaged helmet and chest plate to reproduce the effects of his clash with ED-209, a muzzle flash effect part, his Auto 9 weapon and replacement right thigh parts to serve as a holster for it, interchangeable hands and a posable figure stand.

That is a long way from the first RoboCop figures I had when I was a kid. Those were basically just glorified cap guns — and I loved them. The best part of the figure here is all of the interchangeable parts with battle damage and attachments. I especially like the helmet piece. He looks very sleek and shiny, as well. MAFEX does pretty great work, although sometimes the shoulder joints on the figures I have had are a little wonky. Something to keep in mind if ordering.
Other than that, fans should have something to look forward to with this figure. The hardest part will be waiting a year for the thing to come out. You can place a preorder for one here.
