More Screenshots from Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Patch 4.2 Are Here
Square Enix has released a new batch of screenshots of Final Fantasy XIV's update 4.2, which will be titled Rise of a New Sun. The patch is set to release in late January and will bring additional dungeons, a new primal, and the Omega Sigmascape raids.
Today's screenshots let us take a look at the two new dungeons that will be implemented with the update. The first is Hell's Lid, while the second is The Fractal Continuum (Hard). For those who aren't familiar with the game, hard mode dungeons in Final Fantasy XIV don't just up the difficulty and target level, but they basically are full-fledged sequels of their normal counterpart. They feature overhauled visuals and completely new encounters, and they often have different layouts.
We can also see the gear that we'll earn by beating those dungeons, which is pretty nicely designed as far as FFXIV gear goes (that's right, I'm talking about the Esos gear).
You can check out the screenshots in the gallery below, or take a gander at last week's batch of screen shots, and the full list of update features.
Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS4 and PC and recently received its second major content expansion with version 4.0 Stormblood this summer.
