Surprise Marvel Select Guardians of the Galaxy Figures Go Up For Order
Completely by surprise this morning, some comic-based Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Select figures went up for preorder on Marvel's online store. Usually, these are also shared exclusives with Disney Store, so you will have a couple avenues to get these. They will be in the 7 inch scale, so bigger than Marvel Legends, and will feature 16 points of articulation and connecting bases to form a large diorama. Cool that they are giving us a Gamora here, as they have not yet announced one fore their movie based line coming this summer. The looks are from the whatever-this-one-was-called relaunch of Guardians from…last year? It is hard to keep them all straight at this point.
Gamora comes packaged with a large rifle, a knife, and sword. She comes along with Rocket, who has two guns as well.
Drax comes with three pairs of interchangeable hands and an axe.
Groot comes with nothing because, well, he is Groot.
And as far as accessories go, Star Lord is the standout. he comes with his pistols, a hand to hold the crystal inside, and jet flames to put coming out of his shoes. Those will look great when you pose him on the flight stand for the flying effect. He also comes with interchangeable masked and unmasked heads.
The sculpts here are quite impressive, and with the packed in accessories and bases, these are more than worth the $24.95 per figure price tag.
