Elite: Dangerous Is Going To Get A Full Release On Xbox One In October
Elite: Dangerous is a great game. The depth and quality of the title is alluring, and the way you can carve out a life for yourself on the frontier of space is an awesome experience (at least if you are okay seeing most of your progress hidden in menus.)
It was one of the first games to hit the Xbox's Preview Program this summer, meaning while you can play the game now on Xbox One, it is only in beta. . Taking to reddit though, studio CEO David Braben announced that the game will be available on full release October 6th.
I haven't touched the game on console, but I hear the controller scheme is quite excellent, which is great to hear. The game has a very broad keyboard control on PC that took me ages to get my head around. Give it a go though, if the idea of forging a career for yourself in space sounds at all alluring. it delivers on that premise in spades.
