EA Suggest That Titanfall 2 Is Coming And It Won't Be Xbox Exclusive

The choice to make Titanfall a PC and Xbox exclusive was an interesting one. Honestly though, I don't know how much it benefited EA, Respawn or Xbox One in the end. The game had stellar drop off after a few weeks and now the online community has a deeply dedicated but 'smaller-than-you'd-expect' player base.

Well, according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen (via GameSpot), a new game will likely come and it won't be Xbox and PC exclusive. During Monday's Technology, Internet & Media Conference, Jorgensen said:

Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven't yet announced, but we'll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that's a huge positive for us.

While maybe he is talking about Mac and Mobile devices, I'm inclined to think not. I take this as not so subtle hints that Sony fans will get to jump in next time. I hope the game does come out on PlayStation 4 and that the sequel finds a way to keep players involved. I really enjoy Titanfall in small bursts, and I think it's a very cleverly put together shooter. I'd love to see it succeed.
