Final Fantasy 15 Won't Be At E3, Instead Aiming For Gamescom
I fully expected Final Fantasy 15 to have a presence at this years E3. Especially with Square Enix announcing that they are holding their own press conference, it would've been the perfect time to try and get more word out about the game.
It seems no. According to Game Director Hajime Tabata during the latest Active Time Event broadcast (via Dualshockers), Final Fantasy 15 is going to be mostly absent from this year's E3 because Episode Ducase just launched and they want more time. It was hinted we might get a short trailer for E3, but don't expect anything huge.
Instead Square are aiming for Gamescom to announce a major reveal. Perhaps this will be talking through large sections of the game, a release date or maybe even more.
Colour me a little surprise, but in terms of marketing it seems smart to space out your content. I just know people really want this game, so it's a shame we will be waiting longer for content.
