Gotham Goes Back To The O.C. To Cast Melinda Clarke
When the producers of FOX's hit series Gotham needed a Jim Gordon, they pulled Ben McKenzie from The O.C. to star as the future police commissioner. Well now someone he is familiar with is coming to town. E! News is reporting that The O.C. alum Melinda Clarke has been cast as a new character named Grace Van Dahl.
Van Dahl is not from the comics and is described as desperate for money and power. She's adept at playing the perfect hostess and wife, all while plotting how she can lie, cheat or kill to get what she wants. Which could almost be used to describe the actresses character Julie Cooper on the O.C.
Clarke has been a regular on many TV series including Entourage, C.S.I., The Vampire Diaries and Nikita as well as playing Jessica Priest in the Spawn movie.
Clarke will make her debut in the 15th episode of the season.
