Selena Gomez is playing music icon Linda Ronstadt in a new biopic announced last week, and they have a director. David O. Russell will step behind the camera, according to THR. Russell, while not having the best reputation on his sets, has been nominated for multiple Best Director awards for films like The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Hustle.
