Mortal Kombat X To Offer Easy Fatality Mode
We've all been there. You're playing Mortal Kombat with a friend, you beat them and the screen goes dark. It's Fatality time! You want it to happen, even your friend wants it to happen. You press a series of arrows as fast as you can and then hit 'X'. Instead of ripping off the head of your opponent and showering in their blood, you pull out a wimpy punch. They fall over bringing the most anti-climatic end to the fight.
It's something most gamers have experienced at some point in their life. To end that humiliation, NetherRelm is helping out. In a live stream yesterday, the developer announced that there will be an Easy Fatality mode tha tplayers can use if they wish. Community man Tyler Lansdown explained:
We've learned through years and years of study that there are a lot of people who just can't pull off Fatalities, or they get freaked out or they can't figure out the timing.
So when the game launches, you'll have a couple of those, maybe three of them, day one. You'll have those just to use and do easy Fatalities on.
This will surely satiate those with a bloodlust, but not the skill to pull off a gnarly Fatality. I have a feeling that might be a pretty big demographic.
