Paul Dano Feels Very Confident In The Batman Script

The Batman is set to resume production very soon. When exactly that is, nobody seems to know. That includes one of the stars of the film, Paul Dano. He is playing The Riddler in the movie and was on set with new Batman Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves when the Hollywood shutdown began. While what happens in The Batman is a big-time secret, Dano told The Playlist that he was taken aback and shocked by how good the script for the new film is and that he believes in Matt Reeves 100% to bring The Dark Knight back with a vengeance.

The Batman Cast Can't Stop Raving About It

"I was filming. I flew home to visit my baby and then didn't get to fly back [to set, because of Coronavirus], which is a really strange thing. But I feel really good about it. I think Matt Reeves is the real deal. I was really surprised by his script, which I think is, is potentially really powerful. Hopefully we'll get to get back to it sometime soon? I'm not sure."

As a huge Riddler fan, I think they made a great choice with Dano. A more cerebral actor is required for that role, as opposed to some of the others that have been cast. Anyone who has seen There Will Be Blood knows that Dano can bring a quiet intensity to whatever role he decides to take on. To watch Edward Nygma slowly lose it onscreen will be a great delight. The more time that passes, the more excited for The Batman I get. This cast could elevate this one to something exceptional, and a great way to bring Bruce back to the big screen. 2021 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for DC film fans, and this could possibly be the crown jewel.
