Batman: Damned Archives
Launched in 2018 as a 3-issue mini-series by writer Brian Azzarello and artist Lee Bermejo, Batman: Damned immediately became one of the most important Batman comic books of the 21st century, largely because it featured the first (and last) appearance of the Batpenis when Bruce Wayne appeared fully nude in several panels in the first issue. Batman's nudity sparked an internet sensation which resulted in hundreds of clickbait articles, also sending the book rocketing up the sales charts and, eventually, causing Warner Bros to rethink its entire publishing strategy.
The plot of Batman: Damned sees an alternate-universe Batman team up with John Constantine to investigate the death of The Joker. We may never see another comic like Batman: Damned outside of Tijuana Bibles, but its impact on the comic book industry earns it a place alongside seminal works like Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, and X-Men Forever as amongst the greatest comic books ever published.
and in September it's the comic book that killed Vertigo, Batman: Damned The one that managed to get on Stephen Colbert and saw DC Comics crack down on all content as a result of Bruce Wayne showing us all that he was circumcised Now with the solicitation-friendly title Batvark: Penis One-Shot.
