Persona 5 Scramble Announced for Nintendo Switch and PS4

During the second day of the Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019 concert, Sega and Atlus announced Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game was first teased as "Persona 5 S" earlier this month, and fans assumed the S might stand for Switch, thinking it was a port of Persona 5 for the hybrid console.

Sadly, that isn't what we actually have, but instead, we're getting a whole new game and that's never a bad thing.

Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers is the first action RPG of the Persona series and is a joint project between Atlus, Koei Tecmo, and Omega Force.

The game was announced via trailer, because that's how we do everything in the gamed industry. Unfortunately that trailer is in Japanese only, but we can figure a few things out from it. The trailer shows Persona 5's protagonist Joker slashing through a horde of enemies using a similar elemental weakness system as we find in the rest of the Persona series.

Yesterday, during the first day of the Persona Super Live P-Sound Street concert, Sega and Atlus announced Persona 5 Royal for both Japanese and Western releases.

Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers will launch for PS4 and Switch, but we don't have a release date for the Japanese or Western versions of the game just yet.

You can find the first trailer for Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers below.
