A Comic Show – Archie Dies, Harley Goes to SDCC!
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:
Hey Fandom, it's a week before San Diego Comic Con and I'm here with a great bunch of new comics now! First up is Seconds by Brian Lee O'Malley, it's single volume original graphic novel and the best work of his career. You may love him from Scott Pilgrim, but this feels more personal even with the fantastical elements. I couldn't put it down last night, and I'm not going to eat a mushroom to change that! Life With Archie #36 features the death of Archie, and it was beautifully executed. From the first page to the last, who he saves, his goodbye to his two women,it's quality work. The Wicked + The Divine #2 is just as good as the first issue, Gods, music, and death. Oh, and even if Marvel did #FireRickRememnder, we'd still get his uniquely cynical and darkly humorous voice on books like Deadly Class! Volume one is out now for just $10.
Robin Rises #1 showcases the new Luther & Shazam Justice League! I love this new Justice League team. Sure the book is a big Ra's and Apokalpse bust 'em up, but I can't shut up about Lex's League! Harley Quinn Invades SDCC is pure fun in the vein of Harley Quinn #0. Over at Marvel Original Sin and Silver Surfer continue to entertain. I review plenty more books, but you'll have to watch the video for that. Thanks for watching, and I hope to see some of you guys at Comic Con!
