Audiocentric Detective Game Unheard has Launched

NEXT Studios has released their new narrative-driven detective game Unheard, which was inspired by audio dramas. The puzzle game will take players on an "audiocentric" journey to uncover the truth behind a few cold case crimes, as the protagonist relies solely on the sense of sound to solve crimes.

Which, as game premises go, isn't all that shocking.

In order to discover the truth, players will eavesdrop on conversations about past crimes and piece together evidence to build their case. Much of the gameplay involves following an array of NPCs to find out all of their secrets, but players can experience the game as they wish, travelling back and forth through time to witness events and conversations in a non-linear fashion.

Which requires some incredibly inventive gameplay, as players will be experiencing the game through sound more than anything else.

Unheard is available now on Steam for $6.99 USD with an additional 27% launch discount.
