New Mythical Pokémon Could Be Coming to Pokémon Go

Pokemon Go is adding some intriguing new content to the popular mobile game, including what appears to be a new Mythical Pokemon, if a new tweet is to be believed.

The official Pokemon Go account shared a quick snap of some fossilized footprints, along with the caption "Something Mythical is coming, Trainers…"

Niantic hasn't offered any further specific details on what Pokemon this could be or when to expect it, but the photo appears to all but confirm it's Genesect making its way to the game. Genesect is a Bug/Steel Pokemon seen first in Pokemon Black and White, and its footprints look a lot like what you see in the screenshot.

As far as some sort of date we can expect the new Pokemon, that isn't clear, but hopefully it's soon. There's still a Community Day scheduled for March 13, so it could potentially happen then. We'll have to wait and see.
