Respawn Entertainment's latest Star Wars title Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been doing quite well for itself.
Electronic Arts confirmed that the single-player adventure has managed to become the fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars game ever.
The information was relayed via press release. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now EA's top-selling Star Wars adventure on PC as of its initial launch window. It's been moving a number of units on PC, as well.
According to analyst Daniel Ahmad, for comparison, 2015's Star Wars Battlefront shipped 13 million units during its holiday launch quarter. 2017's Star Wars Battlefront II shipped 9 million units during its own holiday launch quarter, and both have sold over 33 million units to date. It looks like they don't have anything on Fallen Order, though. The game will likely do much better from here, as well.
In case it's not already (Kyber) crystal clear, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is doing fantastically. That could be because it's the best single-player Star Wars game to have been released in some time. As time goes on and we head into the holiday season officially, it's likely going to perform even better going forward.
Here's the official synopsis:
"A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn. An abandoned Padawan must complete his training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the lightsaber – all while staying one step ahead of the Empire."
If you've already given it a try, let us know how you enjoyed it. We're always down for a new game to try.
