Win A Thor Premium Format Figure For Geek Pride Day
When did Geek Pride Day become a thing? But hey, if it means you can win a Marvel Thor Premium Format Figure from Sideshow Collectibles (which retails for $439.99), then go ahead and sign me up for Geek Pride. Are there t-shirts? Are we suppose to send greeting cards?
Turns out that Geek Pride Day, May 25th, originated in Spain in 2006 and took off worldwide thanks to the internet. It was officially celebrated in the U.S. in 2008.
You can enter to win the figure here. But you can only enter until May 30th.
This piece is more of the comic version of Thor and less of the Chris Hemsworth. The figure was designed by Kris Anka and Walter O'Neal and sculpted by Pablo Viggiano, Matt Black, Whitney Mitchell, Andy Bergholtz, and Alfred Paredes. It stands 20" tall and weighs 15 lbs. That's a pretty solid statue. The run is limited to only 1500 and is currently on 'waiting list' meaning it's basically sold out.
